In 2019, the fall issue (No. 66) of 'Jeju Writers' was titled 'Jeju, Aiming for Illusion'. As the island was suffering, and a massive destructive scenario of a second airport loomed, members of the Jeju Writers' Association climbed a hill that might disappear, put up wall poems, and collected poems against the second airport for the feature. Time passed, and eventually, the basic plan for the second airport was published. The government plans to build the second airport anyway. The government is planning to build a second airport on Jeju Island without regard for the destruction of the island's identity, but only for the economic benefits of the construction. Nature was here first, but man is destroying it. We've seen too many communities destroyed by development. We can't be bystanders. The conflict between the Gangjeong Naval Base and the second airport is making Jeju an island of conflict, not an island of peace. It is the duty of us writers living on this island to reflect the times. We want to sing our song by serializing our poems in a relay series. / Jeju Writers' Association

the economy and saving politics

Togan is the milk and honey of the regime
Power comes from here,
and the real ammunition comes from here
The beginning of the great power is in Togan right here
Togan makes the regime. makes the regime
No matter how many hunger strikes, tents,
street protests,
this is a business that can never change
it can never stop
it is the business of the absolute it is the business of the absolute
Now look at the leading civil engineering companies in Korea,
the construction companies in Jeju, and even the
dump truck forklift drivers
this Jeju 2nd airport airbase construction project
Are you not waiting
But overproduction inevitably breeds panic
Panic prepares for war
War destroys and at the same time calls the togans of construction
The togans do not die, but go on forever
This is the dream of togan capital immortality
But wake up
Eggs break through rocks
Hunger strikers crack the togan dam
Tent protests rattles the rebar of the toggan
Street protests occupy the roads of the toggan
Cutting off this shameless capital is economic democratization
Dethroning this unjust power is democratic politics
Preventing this preordained panic and war is democratic politics
Blocking this toggan's eternal self-replication is democratic politics
Stopping this toggan now is peace,
This is peace!
